Google Business Profile

Let's check we've got you right

Everything below is what we found about your shop. Read it through and flag anything that's wrong.

Before you start

Anything you don't flag, we'll take as correct and publish it to your Google profile. There's nothing to tick or confirm: if a line is right, leave it alone. Use Not right on anything that isn't, and tell us what it should say.

Your details

Taken from your Google profile and adventuremotorsusa.com.

These are the hours on your Google profile right now (here's the screenshot). Your website says something different for Monday and Tuesday: closed on Monday, by appointment only on Tuesday. Wednesday to Sunday match. We'd rather hear which set is right from you than change either one, because whichever is wrong is telling customers the wrong thing.
Your listing has a "Products and Services" link, and it goes to your home page It's pointed at your other domain, adventure-motors.com. That forwards to your main site, so the link isn't broken, but somebody who taps it expecting to see what you do lands on your home page and has to go looking. We'd point it straight at your services page instead. Flag this if that domain is there for a reason, or if you'd rather it went somewhere else. (Here it is on your listing.)

The work you do

This is the full list we'd put on your Google profile, taken page by page from your own website. Nobody can see a shop's service list from outside Google, so this is what we'd add rather than a copy of what's there. Mark anything you don't actually do, or that needs correcting.

Anything we've missed? Work you do that isn't listed above

What we'd say about you

These go on your profile as claims about your business, so they have to be exactly right. Flag anything that's wrong or that you'd word differently.

Building rigs in the Kansas City metro since 2015, with more than 7,500 custom builds behind youYour About page and the footer on every page of your site

You build Toyota, Lexus, Jeep, Ford, RAM, Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan and Subaru, with Toyota and Lexus as the specialtyWord for word from your own FAQ. This is the list we'd name on your profile, so it's worth being sure about.

Things we'd add to your profile

These are all on your website and none of them are on your Google profile. They each have a place on Google and they're free to turn on, so we'd add them unless you say otherwise.

The mechanical half of the shop: engine swaps, transmission swaps, differential rebuilds and cam tower workYour profile description covers suspension, wheels, tires and performance packages. It doesn't mention any of the drivetrain work on your services page, so somebody searching for it can't find you.
A Products section for the gear you sell: campers, racks, bumpers, wheels, tents, fridges and recovery gearIt's the biggest block on a profile viewed on a phone. Yours does not have one: your listing goes Overview, Reviews, About and stops. You're a retailer as well as a shop and the profile doesn't show it.
Your team, using the eight headshots already on your About pageWe went through all 201 photos on your profile and there isn't one of a person in them, which is why Google has built you an Inside tab and no Team tab. You've already paid for the headshots on Your About page
Your OTT Tune Days, posted as events with their real datesGoogle has a post type built for dated events that stays up until the date passes. Every post on your profile is a plain update instead, with no date on it. The dates are on Your event directory
A clear photo of the shop from the road, so people know what they're looking forYour sign and building do appear in two of the 201 photos, but Google has not built you an Exterior tab because it hasn't found a straight approach shot to use.

What do you want more of?

Pick up to three. These lead your profile, and everything else sits behind them.

Something else? If what you want most isn't in that list, put it here

Any work you'd rather not get calls about?

Not work you refuse, just the jobs you'd rather not fill the day with. We've deliberately not guessed at this one: nothing on your profile has been pushed down on our reading of your price list. Nothing gets removed either way, we simply stop leading with it.

Is there work you'd rather we didn't lead with? A yes or a no is enough. If it's a yes, tell us which jobs.

A few things only you can tell us

These go on your profile as facts, so we'd rather hear them from you than guess.

What exactly is your warranty and guarantee? Your About page says you stand behind your work with a clear warranty and guarantee, but it doesn't say how long or what it covers. It's one of the first things a customer weighs against a dealership, so it's worth stating in your words rather than ours.
Do people need an appointment, or can they turn up? Your profile's About tab lists your accessibility, payments and parking and says nothing either way about appointments. It's the single most asked question before somebody drives over.
Can somebody wait while the work is done, or is it drop-off? Google's Inside tab on your profile shows a waiting area. On a build it's presumably drop-off, on a tune or an alignment it may not be. Whatever the honest answer is, it saves a phone call.
Do you take fleet or company vehicles? We read all 35 pages of your website and none of them mention fleet or company vehicles either way. It's repeat work if the answer is yes.
Can we use the photos you already have? There are 201 on your profile and more in your portfolio. We'd far rather use your own builds than shoot anything new. Tell us if any of them are off limits, or if there are customer rigs we shouldn't show.
Who else is posting for you at the moment? Your profile has been posted to every few days and we don't want to post over the top of whoever is doing it. We only ask so the two don't collide.

Questions your customers ask

These are the questions people actually ask before they book, and the ones Google now answers on your behalf. Your website already answers several of them well, so where you have an answer you like, paste it in. Answer what you can, skip what you can't.

Your Google reviews*

You're on 4.8 from 319 reviews, which is the strongest thing on your profile. How should replies be handled from here?

How should we sound? This shapes your replies and your posts. Pick as many as fit.
Anything we should never say? Words you'd hate to see, or whether we can name a member of the crew

Your posts*

We publish five a month, so we need plenty to draw on. These are all switched on - everything we'd write about, taken from the work you do. Tap any you'd rather we left alone.

Nothing will be posted to your Google profile. No monthly posts, no seasonal updates, nothing. Your profile will show whatever is on it today and it will not change. Posting is part of what you're paying for, so only turn it off if you're sure.

Anything else

Anything at all you want us to know before we build your profile.

Who filled this in? So we know who to come back to
Would you rather just tell us? Anything you'd sooner say than type into a box. It comes straight to Joseph, and it is the quickest way to get something changed.

We've got your answers. Nothing here is final: change anything you like and send it again, and we'll work from the most recent version.

Nothing flagged yet. If it all looks right, that's fine.

Here's what you're sending us

Once this is in, we build your knowledge base and your customer questions from it, and the rest of your profile work gets built from your answers rather than our reading of your website.
